Seiko Won The 2008 Best Watch In The Netherlands

Recently, SEIKO (Seiko) Spring Drive Chronograph won the ‘2008 Best Watch’ award in the Netherlands, making the number of Spring Drive watches winning again.
    The award was selected by the Netherlands’ most prestigious watch special ‘Horloges Magazine’, the results of which were announced in the July issue of the magazine and aimed at 30,000 subscribers.

    This award was selected after a two-stage process. A jury composed of many well-known watch experts first reviewed every five categories of products submitted by many contestants and made a shortlist of candidates. Subsequently, the brands on the list were invited to make presentations on the participating products, and the jury held a full-day meeting at the ‘Elite Huis ter Duin’ hotel in Noordwijk.
     A four-member delegation from SEIKO (SEIKO) Netherlands Ltd. (SNBV) delivered a statement that impressed the judges and awarded the SEIKO (SEIKO) Spring Drive Chronograph with a prize in the range of 3,000 to 10,000 Euros.
    The members of the jury include Mr. Kalf, a highly respected teacher at the “WOSTEP” education center in Newchâteau; Mr. Gaemers, the sole watch assessor for the Dutch royal family; Mr. Nijpels, a renowned watch collector; and Amsterdam and Geneva Mr. Wooter, a watch expert at Sotheby’s; Mr. Des Bouvrie, a well-known Dutch designer and watch enthusiast; Mrs. Collignon, the queen of Dutch fashion and fashion; Mr. Stapel, a well-known actor and watch enthusiast in the Netherlands ; Very influential real estate developer is also one of the world’s largest watch collectors Mr. Homburg; high-end watch dealer Mr. Van Hell; Horloges magazine publisher Mr. Harry Wijnschenk served as the jury Chairman.
    SEIKO Spring Drive chronographs share the honour originally held by them with Nomos Glashuette, Piaget, Jaeger LeCoultre and Bell & Ross.
